Recruit - Getting more Experience

Congratulations on your ranking to a Recruit, your white shield now has a line =.=. Basically, I feel that the rank design is a little "lame" but it was introduced late into the game, so the developers had a limited choice. The first thing you should notice, is that you get to move to a NEW place. Its called the Town of Gnawnia. The town has much more powerful mice like the Zombie and Burglars, so you should know that your trap has GOT TO GO! So you should have more than 3000 points and 5000 gold. Lets look at the Wooden Base with Target!!

Power:75
Power Bonus:0%
Attraction Bonus:20%
Luck:0
Cheese Effect: No Effect
The thing bad about this base is that your Very Fresh cheese effect has turned into No Effect, thats 2 levels down! But since you get to attract the mice, you will have less chance of even staling the cheese. It also looks quite cool with the bulls-eye target on the base. Tacky Glue Trap would also be rendered useless over here, the mice would steal your cheese in a flash without even touching the glue. So you see 2 traps that is available for your points and gold. The Mouse Mary O'Nette and the 500 Pound Spiked Crusher. Lets see their stats.

Power:250
Power Bonus:0%
Attraction Bonus:6%
Luck:5
Cheese Effect:Fresh

Power:250
Power Bonus:10%
Attraction Bonus:0%
Luck:1
Cheese Effect:No Effect
So, which trap do we choose? If we use facts, we would say that the 500 Pound Spiked Crusher is obviously better. First things first, the cost is about less than the Mouse Mary O'Nette by half. I'm not trying to scare you but the next trap would need about 5 times the cost of the 500 Pound Spiked Crusher. Since there are more powerful mice here, the power bonus is definitely needed. Attraction Bonus? You can start to use Marble Cheese if you have the gold or you can just rely on your Wooden Base with Target. If you use the Marble Cheese, it will cost 50 gold per piece, which is 5 times the cost of Cheddar cheese but it will attract MUCH MORE mice, so I advice you, GO FOR IT! Luck is only for loot dropping, since you are still so "inexperienced" hardly any loots will come to you. Also, if you look at the Mouse Mary O'Nette, the female mouse is so freakingly ugly! Would you like to have that picture staring at your face everytime you sound your horn? I guess not. Now your trap stats should be...

Power:358
Power Bonus:10%
Attraction Bonus:20%
Luck:1
Cheese Effect: No effect
So you should be doing well with your new trap, if you need the money, you can sell away your Tacky Glue Trap and the Wooden Base, but it can also be kept as a collectible. Up to you :D!! Your new trap should be earning quite an amount of money, by attracting all the steel and dwarfs. They give you quite an amount of gold. Your next trap will cost you 15850 gold and 11000 points. So you will be hunting here for awhile.

Mouse Trebuchet VS Mouse Rocketine

As you can see from the Trapsmith, there is a trap called the Stone Base. Judging from the trap cost at 6175 gold and you need 5000 points which you have. Lets look at the stats.

Power:150
Power Bonus:10%
Attraction Bonus:0%
Luck:0
Cheese Effect: Fresh
As you can see, at 6175 gold, its a bargain? WRONG!. The stone base upsets your attraction bonus to become 0%. Without attraction, even with fresh cheese, its going to become stale. The Power is high, but what is the use of power when there is no mice. So continuing with your current trap, 500 Pound Spiked Crusher & Wooden Base with Target, you would earn easy money.
Next Traps are the MouseTrebuchet and the Mouse Rocketine. This 2 traps are good, but VERY costly.

Power:600
Power Bonus:2%
Attraction Rate:4%
Luck:1
Cheese Effect: Very Fresh

Power:650
Power Bonus:6%
Attraction Bonus:0%
Luck:0
Cheese Effect: Extremely Stale
Once you read the stats, the obvious winner is shown, it is obviously the Mouse Trebuchet. Although it has less power, the cheese effect pays up for it. The mice here aren't THAT powerful, so with the Mouse Trebuchet, it is enough. Furthermore, the Mouse Trebuchet looks quite cool.
Very soon, your experience bar will creep up to 100% and you will move on to the next rank! Good Luck :D
